Collaborations and health services
Active promotion of good mental health
As part of its active promotion of good mental health, FIA UI and the Advocacy and Student Welfare Department (Adkesma) of BEM FIA UI held the Mental Health Day Celebration (Rayakestal). The event served as a collaborative space where students, educators and mental health practitioners openly discussed the importance of mental well-being in academic life, including stress, balance and emotional awareness. Participants gained practical tools to strengthen resilience, build supportive peer networks and prioritize self-care.
Access to (or signposting to) free mental health support
Universitas Indonesia and FIA UI support student well-being through free mental health counselling services provided by the university’s Student Counselling Body at Klinik Satelit Makara UI. The service offers a safe and confidential space for students to discuss personal challenges, academic stress or emotional difficulties with trained counsellors and mental health professionals, as well as guidance on stress management, coping strategies and emotional resilience.
Access to (or signposting to) charged mental health support
FIA UI provides access to “Konseling 101”, a subsidized counselling programme organized annually by the Faculty’s Student Affairs Division in collaboration with Mudita, a mental health service provider. Through this programme, students can receive counselling sessions with licensed psychologists, with the costs fully covered by the faculty, so that all students can access professional help regardless of their background.
Have a ‘smoke-free’ policy
FIA UI adopted the Rector’s Decree number 1085 of 2015 regarding non-smoking areas. This policy was immediately signed by the rector of the University of Indonesia. It was explained that the University of Indonesia has established a smoke-free area so that smoking in the University of Indonesia environment is not allowed.
