Student volunteering programmes
FIA Green Festival 2025 was a social initiative organized by BEM FIA UI to raise awareness among FIA UI students and the public about climate change through mangrove planting and coral reef restoration. The event was conducted in collaboration with several organizations and corporate partners, including PT Vale Indonesia Tbk and AQUA, to support environmental conservation and promote sustainability.
The mangrove planting was held on Saturday, 13 September 2025, on Pari Island, Thousand Islands, as the first part of the FIA Green Festival main event. Guided by local community members, the organizing committee and volunteer participants planted 1,500 mangrove seedlings along Pasir Perawan Beach. On the same day, the committee and volunteers carried out coral reef restoration to rehabilitate damaged coral reef areas and preserve marine biodiversity, successfully restoring 30 coral units.
