University anti-poverty programmes
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences always conducts educational assistance programs for students with financial conditions who need assistance or cannot afford it. Some of the assistance programs that have been implemented include:
1. Fair Education Operational Costs (BOPB), this scheme is a determination of student education costs on the basis of justice and in accordance with the ability of the person in charge of student education costs. New students who have been accepted at the University of Indonesia both from the SNMPTN, SBMPTN and SIMAK UI pathways can immediately apply for BOPB by completing the file according to the selected tuition fee class. After that, the faculty working group team will verify the files and determine the tuition fees for the students concerned. In 2022, there are 269 students in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences who received BOPB.
2. Outstanding Poor Student Education Scholarship (BIDIKMISI) and Indonesian College Student Card (KIPK), this program is one of the educational scholarships provided by the government intended for students from underprivileged and outstanding groups to be able to continue their education in higher education. This program is an educational scholarship assistance provided by the ministry of education and culture, research and technology for families receiving the Family Hope Program (PKH) or families who have a prosperous family card (KKS) to continue their education to university. In 2022, there are 143 students in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences who received Bidikmisi and KIPK.
4. Higher Education Affirmation Scholarship (ADik), this scholarship program is intended for students from Papua and West Papua regions. In 2022, there are 2 students in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences who received ADik Scholarship
5. Partner cooperation scholarship, this scholarship program is the result of collaboration between partners and the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia. This scholarship includes tuition assistance or assistance with monthly needs that will be given to students who have been selected. Several companies that are FIA UI partners in providing scholarships such as MUC, DDTC, PT Pratama and so on. In 2022, there are 239 students in the Faculty of Administrative Sciences who received scholarship from partner cooperation
In 2022, there are a total of 142 students in the Faculty of Administration Science from Class of 2020 until Class of 2022 who received Bidikmisi and KIPK .
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences always provided student support program for all of student comes from low income background such as :
1. Biaya Operasional Pendidikan Berkeadilan (BOPB), This program is accessible to all new students who have low income economic background so the tuition fees can be adjusted to the student’s ability.
3. Student Scholarships under the Indonesian Government such as Bidikmisi, KIPK-Kuliah and Kartu Jakarta Mahasiswa Unggul KJMU. This program can be accessed for all undergraduate students enrolled in regular programs.
4. Student Scholarships from other institutions that have collaborated with Faculty of Administrative Sciences such as MUC, DDTC, and PT Pratama. This scholarship program usually given to the students who have a great achievements in both academic and non-academic fields.
UI GREAT scholarship is offered to non-Indonesian citizens applying for a master’s degree at Faculty of Administrative Science Universitas Indonesia. The student will get some scholarship benefit such as tuition fee waiver, ticket allowance, health insurance allowance, books and research allowance and monthly allowance.
Community anti-poverty programmes
Several assistance programs for local start-ups are carried out at the University of Indonesia level under the Directorate of Innovation and Science Techno Park (DISTP). DISTP annually holds activities to encourage the growth and development of startups owned by lecturers, students, and alumni, namely UI Incubate. This activity is one of the efforts to mentor startups in important aspects of business such as production processes, human resources, finance, and marketing. With the implementation of the UI Incubate program, we hope that the innovations carried out can be accepted by the community and compete in the market.
UI Incubate is a start-up assistance program managed by the University of Indonesia under the Directorate of Innovation and Science Techno Park (DISTP). This program aims to encourage the growth and development of innovation-based university startup companies owned by lecturers, students and alumni of the University of Indonesia. Through this program, selected innovations will receive funding assistance of 50 million rupiah per group with a total funding assistance up to 200 million rupiah. In 2022, there is a group from the Faculty of Administrative Sciences that has selected to get funding assistance through the innovation “Therbal”.
