FIA UI Provides Training for the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia

Community service is one of the things that cannot be separated from life on campus. Likewise, what is written in the third point of the mission of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI), is doing community service for the benefit of the nation.

Integra FIA Resources is an institution that accommodates human resource development activities through various training programs and designs. On 19-26 November 2018, Integra FIA Resources held an Executive Development Program (EDP) Policy Analysis training with the Indonesian National Police. The activity was held at the 2nd floor M building, FIA UI Depok. The training was attended by 20 participants from the National Police of the Republic of Indonesia who learned the ins and outs of policy analysis.

According to the Activity Coordinator, Desy Hariyati, this training is a form of community service designed according to the needs of stakeholders in the public and private sectors. POLRI was chosen because it was one of the institutions that had become a FIA UI partner and was considered to have an urgent need for capacity building in policy analysis.

In general, the EDP Policy Analysis addresses 5 major topics delivered in 5 days with 10 sessions. First, Concepts and Policy Studies; Second, Public Policy Research; Third, Strategy for Making Policy Recommendations; Fourth, Policy Analysis Techniques; and Fifth and final topic: Policy Consultation and Advocacy.

“We hope that the participants can criticize and analyze policies within the Indonesian National Police, especially in the field of human resource management (HR) so that in the future Polri HR policies will have better quality,” Desy said. (EM)
