Prof. Eko Prasojo Picked As Presiden Of AGPA 2019-2022

The Faculty of Administrative Science Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) held Indonesia’s name in high regard in the international scene once again. The Dean of FIA UI, Prof. Eko Prasojo has just been nominated as the President of the Asian Group of Public Administration (AGPA) from 2019 – 2022 at the annual conference of said organisation on Sunday night (25/11) in Manila, Philippines. Prof. Eko continued the leadership relay of previous AGPA Presiden from China, Prof. Jiang Wu.

AGPA is a regional organisation of experts and academicians of public administration in the region of Asia who hold positions at the International Institute of Administrative Science (IIAS) which is based on Brussel, Belgium.

“There are many things that we can do together to strengthen the synergy between various associations of public administration, including the Indonesian Association For Public Administration (IAPA), Asian Association for Public Administration (AAPA) and the Eastern Regional Organization for Public Administration (EROPA)”, said Prof. Eko on Monday (26/11).

Aside from gaining trust as being the number one person in AGPA, in the same chance, Prof. Eko also gained a Distinguished Scholar and Scientist in Public Administration award from the Philippine Society for Public Administration (PSPA) which directly given by the President of the PSPA, Prof. Alex Brillantes.

This good opportunity is expected to encourage the emergence of more achievements and contributions of Indonesian experts and academics at the global level. (MI)
