The Administrative Science Student Association of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences (HIMANERA FIA UI) held the 2020 Himanera Upgrading activity with the theme Leadership & Public Speaking.

This activity was held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 through the Zoom Meeting platform which took place within four hours and thirty minutes. This activity was opened by Muhammad Lukmanul Hakim as the Chairperson of HIMANERA FIA UI 2020. Then continued with the presentation of material from the speakers, namely Jasmine Putri who is the Senior Forest Campaigner for Greenpeace Indonesia and Fauzi Noerwenda who is the Public Speaking Trainer and Author of Street Smart Master of Ceremony.

The purpose of holding this activity is as a means of developing soft skills for HIMANERA FIA UI administrators needed in the organizational world. In addition, the purpose of this activity is to develop good leadership skills in organizational life.

“You have to be able to inspire people and I believe that inspiring others is closely related to leading. And I believe that when leading we have to make a more positive change, “said Jasmine Putri as a resource person for this activity during the leadership session.

Another purpose of this activity is to improve the public speaking skills of HIMANERA FIA UI administrators so that they can speak in front of the general public well and confidently.

“When you want to maximize public speaking, there are 3 initial foundations that must be considered, namely preparation, action, and evaluation. With this, friends will not hesitate, and will continue to want to try, try, and try, ”said Fauzi Noerwenda as a resource person at this activity in the public speaking session.(Bintang & Tasya)
