A coordination meeting for the preparation of a plan for the preparation of an independent study of willingness to pay Jargas (gas network) by the Directorate of Natural Gas BPH Migas has taken place at the 3rd floor of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences Building, University of Indonesia (FIA UI), Friday (17/6/2022) afternoon.

The event started with an introduction by Dr. Umanto, M.Si by explaining that FIA UI scientifically consists of three departments namely Governance of Commerce Science, Fiscal Administration Science, and Public Administration Science which makes FIA UI able to conduct studies in various sectors and of course without closing collaboration efforts with other disciplines

Then, the event continued with the delivery of remarks by Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Ak. as Head of LPPIA FIA UI and Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration by saying that FIA UI welcomes the cooperation of these two agencies.

“In principle, we at FIA UI welcome this collaboration. Our resources, including a team of experts, have the required competencies in the required studies. We are also very open to collaborating with other experts from other disciplines within the UI.” Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Ak.

Then, the event continued with the presentation of the goals of cooperation by Muhammad Arief Rokhman Hakim, S.T., M.Sc. as Sub-Coordinator for Household Gas Prices and Small Customers, namely that the pricing policies that have been implemented can be evaluated for their suitability with the purchasing power of the people in real terms.

“The collaboration between BPH Migas and FIA UI has become our basis for conducting studies related to Downstream Oil and Gas. On this occasion, the planned study is related to willingness to pay for Jargas in the 2022 State Budget, “explained Muhammad Arief.

Furthermore, Arief explained that this study will be used as a basis for determining prices in areas in Indonesia that do not yet have an existing price, namely Siak Regency, Pelalawan Regency, West Tanjung Jabung Regency, East Ogan Komering Ulu Regency, Indramayu Regency, Lumajang Regency.

“In the 2022 budget year, it is planned to build Independent Jargas in 17 operating areas in 46 Regencies/Cities in Indonesia with a commitment to pricing according to the market (community) capacity in each region, this has an impact on Jargas prices being cheaper than LPG Gas prices on the market. , “explained Arief.

The event closed with a group photo with all meeting participants. For information, this coordination meeting was attended by the leadership at FIA UI, Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Ak. (Head of LPPIA FIA UI and Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration), Dr. Umanto, M.Sc., CFP® (Chairman Secretary).
