The Faculty of Administrative Sciences of the University of Indonesia (FIA UI) held a celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Graduate Program of Administrative Sciences of the University of Indonesia. With the theme Continues Collaboration, FIA UI is committed to making this celebration event an opportunity to open doors for continued collaboration.

The event, which took place on Sunday, October 8, 2023, was attended by UI Administrative Science alumni from 1993 to 2023, totaling around 400 people. The event took place at the Purnomo Hall of the University of Indonesia, UI Depok Campus.

Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Si., M.M. as the Dean of FIA UI said that today’s celebration is a momentum for FIA UI to further increase capacity and capability through collaboration with all parties, especially the contribution of FIA UI alumni. Alumni are expected to actively participate through real actions such as filling out tracer studies, employer reputation, and others.

“In addition, we also invite Mr / Mrs Administrative Science alumni to want to be part of the FIA UI academic community again through teaching activities as lecturers on campus. We encourage and facilitate all lecturers to improve the competencies needed to become a qualified lecturer,” he said.

Prof. Dr. Eko Prasojo, Mag.rer.publ who was also present at this event in his speech said that currently we need quality people and have a high commitment to advancing the Indonesian nation.

“30 years is not a short time. Currently at the age of 30 years of administrative science, we are in a productive age so we need to be even more active to build FIA UI to be even better,” said Dr. Muh Azis Muslim, M.Si. as the Chief Organizer of the 30th Anniversary Celebration of UI Administrative Sciences Postgraduate Program.

The 30th Postgraduate Celebration was enlivened with various events, namely zumba, blood donation, Alumni Achievement Award (AAA), and bazaar. For AAA, there are 12 award categories given including the Academic Environment Award which is given to alumni who contribute to shaping a quality educational environment in Indonesia. Then, the Global Impact Award is an award given to an alumnus who has shown outstanding achievements in a global context. Eligible nominees can be international or locally based as long as their work shows international impact in improving the lives of a community or the general public.

Furthermore, the Distinguished Contribution to the Alumni is an award given to honor an alumnus who has made significant contributions to the alumni community. Eligible nominees must demonstrate active involvement in the advancement of alumni in the areas of career development and good service to alumni. The Alumni Service Award recognizes an alumnus for significant service and consistent loyalty to UI.

Recipients of the Alumni Service Award reflect a spirit of volunteerism towards their alma mater.

Not only that, there is the Outstanding Young Alumni which is an award given to young alumni under the age of 40 for their achievements, dedication, initiative, and contributions in service to the community, and the surrounding environment. Furthermore, Changemaker is an award given to someone who wants change in Indonesia by gathering knowledge and resources to realize the change.

Next, the Prosperity Award is an award given to someone who contributes to the economic development of the community, job creation and sustainable infrastructure development. Furthermore, the Empowering Award is an award given to someone who contributes to the empowerment of people and communities in a sustainable manner to overcome social problems. Furthermore, the Innovation Award is an award intended for alumni who realize significant innovations both in industry, research in government and society.

No less interesting, the Entrepreneurship Award is an award given to alumni who synergize in running a business as a professional entrepreneur in their field. Next, the Social Inclusion Award, in this nomination the award is intended to recognize alumni for contributions in social inclusiveness, be it gender equality, women’s involvement, and people with disabilities. And finally, the Digital Leader Award Nomination is an award for Alumni who are able to lead by implementing digital technology that has a broad impact.
