The Potential of FIA UI Cooperation with the University of Potsdam, Germany.

Many of the best universities in the world are in Germany. The Faculty of Administrative Science Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) sees this potential and tries to explore the potential for cooperation in education and research with some of the best universities in Germany. One of them is the University of Potsdam which is the largest university in the state of Brandenburg, Germany.

Prof. Eko and 3 other FIA UI representatives held a meeting with representatives of Potsdam University namely Chair of International Politics Prof. Dr. Harald Fuhr, Professional Coach-Public Policy and Management Dr. Thomas Gebhardt, and Project Coordinator of the Master of Public Management Sophia Bellmann Program-Public Policy and Management, Friday (28/9). One of the members of the FIA UI group and the FIA UI’s International Cooperation Affairs Study Officer Dr. Phil. Reza Fathurrahman, MPP, said that through the visit, they saw several opportunities for cooperation in several matters.

“First, the potential to invite visiting scholar and keynote speakers to the International Conference on Administrative Science, Policy, and Governance Studies (ICASPGS) 2019. Second, the opening of opportunities for research collaboration. Third, the opportunity for guest lecturers to teach at the University of Potsdam,” explained Reza The Chairperson of the 2018 ICASPGS Committee.

The fourth is the training of the state civil apparatus (ASN) and the police. Potsdam University has one master’s degree related to security and the police. Fifth, the opportunity to collaborate in making Customized Executive Development Training. Finally, there is an opportunity for credit earning in the Master of Arts program in National and International Administration and Policy (MANIA) using the English language. In addition, there is the potential to attend the annual summer school program with the theme of decentralization and local government.

Besides Prof. Eko and Reza, the FIA UI representative also consisted of the Deputy Dean II of FIA UI Dr. Retno Kusumastuti, M.Si, Chairperson of the FIA UI Study Center for Governments, Public Policy and Business Dra. Novita Ikasari, M.Comm, Ph.D. (EM)
