The Pre-University Program, Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI) is a manifestation of the actualization of the Free Learning Program – Independent Campus (MBKM) launched by the Minister of Education and Culture, one of whose goals is to encourage the general public to obtain inclusive and equitable education throughout all universities in Indonesia. In addition, the FIA Pre-U Program is also a manifestation of the fourth SDGs, namely ensuring inclusive and equal quality education and supporting lifelong learning opportunities for all.

This was revealed by the Dean of FIA UI, Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Si., M.M., during the visit of Yasporbi High School to FIA UI at the FIA UI M Building on Thursday, September 29, 2022, morning.

The FIA UI Pre-University Program is a non-degree program provided by FIA UI for high school students or graduates/equivalent who wish to take lectures at FIA UI online where if Pre-U participants get a minimum grade of B in the courses taken, they will get credit savings and can be transferred when continuing to study the Bachelor program at FIA UI so that the study period for Pre-U participants at FIA UI will be faster.

“The program has the same curriculum as the FIA UI Undergraduate Program. So, later the FIA UI Pre-University participants will get the same treatment. The FIA Pre-U is an excellent program because it is supported by qualified lecturers, quality facilities, and a well-prepared learning curriculum,” said Prof. Chandra.

As a faculty that occupies the Top 5 ASEAN positions in the 2022 QS World University Ranking Survey in the field of Social Policy and Administration and ranks 51-100 in the world, FIA UI is committed to becoming a campus that provides inclusive learning for every individual who wants to study at FIA UI.

Responding to the remarks from the Dean of FIA UI, the Principal of SMA Yasporbi Robi Kurniawan, S.IP, expressed their school’s interest in the Pre-University Program offered by FIA UI.

“We are grateful for all the special welcome from FIA UI. Ninety percent of our students want to enter UI, including the Faculty of Administrative Sciences or FIA UI. For this reason, we hope that with this visit, our students will be more motivated to fight to be accepted as students at UI, especially FIA UI,” said Robi.

For information, the visit was attended by 70 students and ten assistants from SMA Yasporbi. Meanwhile, FIA UI was represented by the Leadership Secretary Dr. Umanto, S. Sos, M. Si and Debie Puspasari, MPA, as Head of Public Relations of FIA UI.
