The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI) along with Minahasa Regency and North Minahasa Regency signed a cooperation agreement on Improving Human Resource Competence through the Tridharma of Higher Education in Administrative Sciences, at the Mochtar Riadi Building, Cikini Campus, Saturday (11/12).

This collaboration has goals for education and teaching, research and development, and community service.

The Dean of FIA UI Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Sc., MM. stated that FIA UI has an innovation and entrepreneurship program that is suitable for the needs conveyed by the Deputy Governor of North Sulawesi at the last meeting. “In terms of improving welfare and alleviating poverty is through innovation, the district government must be agile. We at FIA have the right innovation and entrepreneurship program,” he said.

He also added that the shift from structural to functional ASN duties made more of them choose as Policy Analysts. “We have a study program, namely Public Policy Analyst. This is what the Minahasa Regent and North Minahasa Regent can take advantage of. Next year we will open a new study program, namely Regional Tax Administration, Supervision Administration, Regional Financial Administration, and Regional Asset Administration. , said Chandra.

In his speech, the Regent of Minahasa, Dr. Ir. Royke Octavian Roring, M.Si explained that Minahasa Regency is the main and largest regency consisting of approximately 352 thousand inhabitants. “We believe that what we have initiated can really have a positive impact on the implementation of government, development, and social activities in Minahasa Regency. What has been explained by Prof. Chandra if implemented will have an impact,” he said.

In his next remarks, the Regent of North Minahasa Joune J. E. Ganda, S.E. expressed his joy over the establishment of this collaboration. “We are impressed that this eastern part of Indonesia still needs to be upgraded. We hope that this collaboration will be able to improve the quality of human resources in the ranks of the North Minahasa Regency government to the villages as well,” he said.

It is known that this event was also attended by the Minahasa Regent and his staff, the North Minahasa Regent and his staff, members of the North Sulawesi Provincial DPRD from the PDIP Faction, the Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, the Deputy Dean for Research, Education and Student Affairs and their staff, the Deputy Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration and its staff.
