Following the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Universitas Indonesia and Mahakam Ulu Regency, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences at Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) has officially established a partnership to enhance the quality of human resources in Mahakam Ulu Regency.

The Dean of FIA UI and the Regent of Mahakam Ulu have signed a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) to implement a Master’s Program in Administrative Sciences for civil servants (ASN) within the Mahakam Ulu Regency Government.

The signing ceremony took place on Wednesday, August 23, 2023, at the Smartclass Room, 3rd Floor, FIA UI Campus, Depok.

This collaboration aims to improve the quality of human resources in Mahakam Ulu while reflecting FIA UI’s commitment to providing inclusive education accessible to all. FIA UI Dean, Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Si., M.M., expressed hope that ASN students from Mahakam Ulu would commit to their studies and make the most of this opportunity.

Previously, two cooperation agreements had been implemented with Mahakam Ulu Regency. One focused on Public Administration through the CIL program, integrated with the RPL Bachelor’s Extension Program (S1), while the other was the CEP program, designed for the Master’s (S2) level.

Mahakam Ulu Regent Bonifasius Belawan Geh, S.H., M.E., emphasized that the program is a privilege and an honor for Mahakam Ulu Regency, requiring strong commitment to ensure it benefits all parties, including FIA UI. He also stressed that the regional government would evaluate ASN students participating in the program to ensure they perform optimally in their studies.

The event was attended by FIA UI representatives, including Dr. Fibria Indriati, M.Si, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Research, and Student Affairs, and Dr. Umanto, M.Si., CFP, Executive Secretary. Officials from the Mahakam Ulu Government included Regional Secretary Dr. Stephanus Madang, S.Sos, MM; Head of BPKAD Yohanes Andy Abeh, S.Sos., M.Si; Head of BKPSDM Wenefrida Kayang, S.Sos., M.Si; Head of Government Affairs Hang Kaya, S.E., M.Si; Head of Social Welfare Kresensius Charles, S.Pd; and Head of Protocol and Communication Christianus Arie Dedy B, SE., M.Si.
