Depok, February 5, 2024 – The E-BMD (Electronic Regional Property) system plays a crucial role for regional governments in enhancing efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in managing regional assets. By utilizing this system, local governments can accelerate the financial reporting process, minimize the risk of errors, and facilitate audits. E-BMD also supports better financial governance, ensures compliance with regulations, and promotes technological adaptation in the digital era.

However, managing and operating the E-BMD application requires specific skills and knowledge. Therefore, E-BMD training is essential for local governments to equip staff with the necessary technical expertise to improve efficiency and transparency in financial reporting. This training also aids in adapting to technological advancements and reduces the risk of errors during the financial audit process.

Responding to this urgent need, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) continues to contribute positively to strengthening government capacity in Indonesia, particularly in Southeast Minahasa Regency. Through the Office of the Secretary of Leadership (Sespim) in collaboration with the Institute for Administrative Science Studies and Research (LPPIA), FIA UI held a Coaching Clinic on the Preparation of the Annual BMD (Regional Property) Report for the Southeast Minahasa Regency Government using the E-BMD Application. The Coaching Clinic took place on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at the Main Meeting Room of Building M, FIA UI, Depok.

Southeast Minahasa Regency, known as one of the youngest regencies in North Sulawesi Province, has reached a significant milestone by using the E-BMD application for its annual report preparation. Since 2014, the regency has used the SIMDA system; however, in 2021, it transitioned to E-BMD to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, with support from the FIA UI team.

“We greatly need guidance in preparing the Annual BMD Report, especially after migrating to the E-BMD system in 2021. We recognize the discrepancies from the migration process that need to be addressed, and with the assistance of the LPPIA FIA UI team, we are confident that the audit process by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) will proceed smoothly,” said David Harrywan Lalandos, A.P., M.M., Regional Secretary of Southeast Minahasa Regency.

Dr. Umanto, M.Si., Secretary of Leadership at FIA UI, emphasized the faculty’s commitment to providing the highest quality training and services to support local governments, particularly Southeast Minahasa Regency, in mastering the E-BMD application. “As the youngest faculty at UI, we are ready to assist you in ensuring a smooth data migration to the E-BMD system,” said Dr. Umanto.

It is hoped that through this Coaching Clinic, Southeast Minahasa Regency will optimize the use of the E-BMD application for Annual BMD Report preparation, ensuring that the audit process by BPK is conducted accurately and without complications.

The Regional Secretary of Southeast Minahasa Regency also expressed gratitude for the support provided. “We thank the LPPIA FIA UI team for guiding our treasurers to become proficient in operating the E-BMD application. Your presence is invaluable to the advancement of our government,” he stated.

The Coaching Clinic was attended by Bramana Purwasetya, S.Sos., M.Si., Deputy Head of LPPIA; Dr. Mecky R.T. Tumimomor, S.E., M.Si., Head of the Regional Finance and Asset Agency (BKAD) of Southeast Minahasa Regency; as well as treasurers and other BKAD officials from Southeast Minahasa Regency.
