On Friday, January 19, 2024, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI), successfully held the “Reflection on 2023 and Resolution for 2024” event at the EDISI 2020 Auditorium, Building M, FIA UI Campus, Depok. This event served as a moment to evaluate all activities carried out in 2023 and to plan for achieving the faculty’s academic and strategic goals in 2024.

The event was attended by all elements of the FIA UI academic community, including the faculty leadership, lecturers, educational staff, and both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

In his speech, the Dean of FIA UI, Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya, M.Si., M.M., highlighted FIA UI’s performance achievements in 2023, which reached 329.17%, an increase from 226.39% in 2022. He emphasized that these remarkable achievements would not have been possible without the outstanding contributions from the entire FIA UI academic community.

“We achieved many milestones in 2023, including being ranked among the top 51-100 universities globally, receiving the Integrity Zone designation as a Corruption-Free Area from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), winning first place in the Innovative Educational Staff category (HR category), securing second place in FIA UI’s internal archiving oversight, third place in the UI SDGs Award 2023 (best microsite), third runner-up in the General Affairs category for innovative educational staff at UI, first place in the Social Humanities category for outstanding lecturers, and having the Journal of Business and Bureaucracy indexed in Index Copernicus, among others. We hope to build on these accomplishments in 2024. This event also serves to appreciate the entire academic community for their contributions to FIA UI,” he said.

Dr. Ning Rahayu, M.Si., Chair of the Academic Senate of FIA UI, encouraged the academic community to continue enhancing performance through good deeds and positive contributions to FIA UI. “Let us work even harder in 2024 to achieve our performance targets. Let us work from the heart!” she urged.

Prof. Dr. Amy Rahayu Sri Rahayu, M.Si., Chair of the Faculty Board of Professors (DGBF) at FIA UI, expressed gratitude for the faculty’s achievements and shared exciting news about a new building for FIA UI. “May 2024 bring further progress and proud achievements, not only in fulfilling performance contracts but also through the collective accomplishments of lecturers, students, and educational staff, strengthening FIA UI’s excellence,” she remarked.

During the event, awards were presented to members of the academic community who contributed significantly to FIA UI’s performance in 2023, including:

    • 1st Place: Education and Student Affairs Manager
    • 2nd Place: General Manager
    • 3rd Place: Academic Quality Assurance Unit (UPMA), Internal Control Unit (SPI), and Accreditation
  2. Faculty Units Recognized for Their Accuracy and Support in Achieving the 2023 Performance Contract
    • Bronze Category: Education and Student Affairs Unit
    • Silver Category: International Cooperation Unit and Cooperation Unit
    • Gold Category: Faculty Secretariat Unit, General Affairs Unit, Research, Innovation, and Community Service Unit, and UPMA, SPI, and Accreditation Units
  3. Departments Recognized for Their Accuracy and Support in Achieving the 2023 Performance Contract
    • Bronze Category: Department of Business Administration and Department of Public Administration
    • Silver Category: Postgraduate Program and Department of Fiscal Administration

Additionally, each Head of Study Program (Business Administration, Public Administration, Fiscal Administration, and Postgraduate) presented their reflections and resolutions for 2024. Representatives from the educational staff and student body also shared their reflections and goals for the year.

A symbolic handover of the “FIA UI 2023 Kaleidoscope” book was conducted, with Prof. Dr. Chandra Wijaya presenting the book to Dr. Ning Rahayu. This publication documents FIA UI’s year-long activities and serves as a record of the faculty’s proud achievements.

Dr. Umanto, M.Si., the Faculty Secretary of FIA UI, also took the opportunity to promote the Integrity Zone initiative, aimed at establishing FIA UI as a Corruption-Free Area (WBK) and a Clean Bureaucratic Service Area (WBBM). The event concluded with the signing of a joint commitment to achieving the WBK Integrity Zone designation from the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPANRB) in 2024, followed by a prayer session and a group photo.
