From strategic-level administrators and researchers to consultants and policy analysts making an impact in the professional world, the FIA UI Master’s Program offers learning that encourages students to develop knowledge in Public Administration using inter- and multidisciplinary approaches. Students are also projected to be capable of evaluating policies or strategies in various types of organizations using information technology, as well as adapting the role of information technology in refining strategic governance and policies related to global changes and future challenges. Through various learning methods, graduates of this program can actively address problems arising from government and organizational or corporate policies, and solve policy and governance issues in public organizations, business organizations, and tax organizations using relevant approaches.

Curriculum
The curriculum structure for the Master’s Program in Public Administration for the Thesis/Case Study/Final Project track consists of:
Mandatory Program Courses with a minimum of 30% of the 54 SKS load.
Concentration Courses with a maximum of 70% of the 54 SKS load.
Credit Load and Study Period
The credit load that must be taken by students in the Thesis/Case Study/Final Project track is 54 SKS, with a normal study period of 4 (four) semesters and a maximum of 8 (eight) semesters.

The “Local Finance and Assets Administration” concentration equips graduates to become professional administrators in local finance and assets administration with specialized expertise in financial policy, local government, good governance, asset governance, and organizational development innovation.
This concentration is aimed at government officials at central and local levels, regional-owned enterprises (BUMD), public service agencies (BLUD), and non-profit organizations to enhance their competence and professionalism in planning, implementing, and evaluating local revenue and expenditure as well as local asset management. The “Local Tax and Retribution Administration” concentration transforms graduates into reliable administrators in local taxation and retribution with special expertise in local taxes, regional revenue, and local tax innovation.
This concentration is aimed at government officials at central and local levels to enhance their competence and professionalism in planning, collection, and evaluation of local taxes and retribution as regional revenue sources. The target market for this concentration includes all civil servants in provincial and district/city governments working in Regional Revenue Agencies and the Ministry of Home Affairs handling local taxes and retribution.

Prospective Student Requirements
Prospective master’s students must be graduates of Bachelor’s or Diploma IV programs from various disciplines from domestic universities/schools accredited by BAN-PT or foreign universities recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Admission requirements for prospective master’s students and first-year input criteria for the Double Degree program:
University of Indonesia Academic Potential Test (TPA) score (minimum 500);
Institutional TOEFL score (minimum 500) or IELTS (minimum 6) or pass the English Language Test held by the University of Indonesia;
GPA from previous education level minimum 3.00 (on a 0-4 scale);
For the double degree program specifically, minimum IELTS score of 6.5 with writing minimum 6.5 and no band score below 6.0, or TOEFL iBT minimum 90 with writing minimum 24.
Second-year input criteria are determined by partner campuses (University of Melbourne and Victoria University of Wellington):
Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) at the end of the first semester at the University of Indonesia minimum 3.00;
Pass all courses required by the University of Indonesia at the end of the first semester;
Complete new student administration process at the partner campus (University of Melbourne and Victoria University of Wellington).

The Public Administration Master’s (MIA) at FIA UI has national and international recognition. MIA received Excellent accreditation from BAN-PT in 2022.
TOP 100 according to WUR Ranking and TOP 5 in Asia among the best campuses offering Public Administration programs.
The curriculum generally consists of mandatory program courses and concentration courses.

Registration for prospective FIA UI Master’s students opens in two waves each year. This schedule information can be viewed on the University Admissions website (enrollment.ui.ac.id).

Prospective students for the FIA UI master’s program are expected to meet several requirements when registering, namely:
Prospective master’s students must be graduates from Bachelor’s (S1) or Diploma 4 (D4) programs from various disciplines from domestic Universities (PT) and Higher Education Institutions (ST) accredited by BAN-PT, and foreign universities recognized by the Ministry of Education.
Meet the University of Indonesia Academic Potential Test (TPA) score with a minimum of 500.
GPA from the previous education level minimum 3.0 (on a 0-4 scale)
Minimum TOEFL score of 500 or minimum IELTS score of 6, or pass the English test organized by the University of Indonesia.
For double degree prospective students specifically, minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (with a minimum 6.0 score in each band).

Program pascasarjana FIA UI berada di kawasan Kompleks Kampus Cikini yaitu berada di Gedung Mochtar Lantai 3, Jalan pegangsaan Timur Nomor 16, Jakarta Pusat
Selama masa darurat Pandemi COVID-19, perkuliahan di Pascasarjana FIA UI dilakukan dalam beberapa opsi, yaitu :
- Perkuliahan dilakukan dengan metode daring/online secara penuh melalui platform Zoom Meeting, seluruh pertemuan antara dosen dan mahasiswa dalam kegiatan belajar dan perkuliahan dilakukan melalui Zoom Meeting tersebut. Metode daring/online dilakukan ketika kondisi tidak memungkinkan termasuk ketika kenaikan kasus Pandemi Covid-19
- Perkuliahan dilakukan dengan metode hybrid yaitu campuran Daring dan Luring dimana terdapat sejumlah mahasiswa yang seat-in dengan kehadiran dosen di kelas secara luring dan terdapat juga mahasiswa yang mengikuti kelas tersebut secara daring melalui Zoom Meeting yang telah disediakan.
- Perkuliahan dilakukan dengan metode tatap muka/seat-in di mana mahasiswa dan dosen bertemu di kelas secara offline atau tatap muka sesuai dengan jadwal perkuliahan mata kuliah yang bersangkutan. Perkuliahan tatap muka dilakukan dengan menerapkan protokol kesehatan COVID-19 secara ketat dan kebijakan masing-masing Fakultas dan dosen yang bersangkutan.
Ketiga metode di atas juga mempertimbangkan kondisi hingga kebijakan dari Universitas Indonesia dalam metode penyelenggaraan perkuliahan di kelas di tengah pandemi COVID-19
