Depok, 11 February 2026 – Fakultas Ilmu Administrasi Universitas Indonesia welcomed an academic delegation from De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde, Philippines, led by Maricel Fernandez-Carag, Chairperson of Governance and Public Affairs, School of Diplomacy and Governance. The visit, attended by 17 students, marked a significant step in strengthening international collaboration and academic exchange in the field of administration and governance.

In her welcoming remarks, the Dean of FIA UI expressed appreciation for the visit and reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to expanding global partnerships. She emphasized that collaboration with De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde has fostered meaningful academic dialogue and cross-country exchange of perspectives.

“We warmly welcome De La Salle–College of Saint Benilde to FIA UI. This collaboration represents an important effort to strengthen our international network and advance academic exchange in administration and governance studies,” she stated.

The program began with a joint class session led by FIA UI lecturer Oke Hendra, focusing on a comparative discussion of administrative systems in Indonesia and the Philippines. The interactive session encouraged active engagement from students of both institutions, exploring decentralization dynamics, governance structures, and bureaucratic reform challenges in their respective countries.

The visit continued with a presentation by the Student Executive Board (BEM) of FIA UI and UKF Global Opportunities, introducing student life at FIA UI, including academic activities, student organizations, and international opportunities. The program concluded with a campus tour around Universitas Indonesia, including a visit to the UI Library, with the delegation traveling around campus using the university’s environmentally friendly electric bus.

The visit is expected to further strengthen institutional ties and open broader opportunities for collaboration in education, research, and student mobility at the regional and global levels.
