Depok, February 27, 2026 — The Department of Public Administration at the Faculty of Administrative Science, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), organized SIDAK (Inspirational Session of Our Department of Public Administration) as an open dialogue forum bringing together lecturers and students in an inspiring and collaborative atmosphere. The event served as a platform to share departmental achievements, gather student aspirations, and strengthen the sense of community within the Public Administration academic family.
The event was opened with remarks by the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FIA UI, Prof. Dr. Teguh Kurniawan, M.Sc. In his speech, Prof. Teguh emphasized the importance of students becoming agents of change who can bring positive influence to their surroundings. He also expressed the faculty’s strong support for dialogic initiatives such as SIDAK, which create direct communication channels between the faculty and students.
“The faculty highly appreciates initiatives like SIDAK as a space for dialogue with students. We hope all participants can become agents of change who remind and support one another while continuing to grow through positive experiences,” said Prof. Teguh.
During the SIDAK session, the Department of Public Administration also presented various strategic achievements accomplished over the past year. The department successfully produced four new doctoral graduates, expanded collaborations with multiple stakeholders, and organized several academic seminars. In addition, the Undergraduate Program in Public Administration once again achieved the “Excellent” accreditation status, while the Master of Public Policy and Governance Program also obtained an “Excellent” accreditation this year.
The Head of the Department of Public Administration, Dr. Muh. Azis Muslim, stated that SIDAK will be conducted regularly on a monthly basis as an interaction platform for the entire Public Administration community. He emphasized that the forum is expected to serve as a space for dialogue and knowledge sharing among students across cohorts and faculty members, fostering stronger communication while supporting departmental programs through active participation and collaboration.
Student enthusiasm was evident during the anonymous feedback session evaluating departmental services, highlighting both strengths and areas for improvement. The session was facilitated by Dr. Phill Reza Faturrahman, MPP, and featured active participation from students who used the forum to openly share questions, feedback, and aspirations.
The SIDAK event concluded with an inspirational discussion session featuring Dr. Desy Hariyati, a lecturer from the Department of Public Administration who had recently completed her doctoral studies. Through the implementation of SIDAK, the Department of Public Administration FIA UI hopes to establish sustainable communication between students and faculty members, fostering a participatory and inclusive academic ecosystem.
