Depok, February 26, 2026 — The Faculty of Administrative Science, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), once again organized the FIA UI Student Achievement Awards (Pemilihan Mahasiswa Berprestasi/Pilmapres) 2026 as part of the faculty’s commitment to identifying outstanding students who demonstrate not only strong academic performance but also critical thinking skills, innovative ideas, and global communication competence.

This year’s selection process consisted of two main assessment stages: a Creative Idea Presentation and an English proficiency evaluation through an impromptu session. During the creative idea presentation stage, each finalist was given 15 minutes to present their innovative ideas, followed by a 15-minute question-and-answer session with the panel of judges. This session provided participants with the opportunity to demonstrate analytical depth, the relevance of their proposed solutions, and their ability to defend arguments in an academic setting.

The selection then continued with an impromptu session designed to assess the finalists’ international communication skills. Participants were given two minutes to prepare a topic assigned directly by the judges before delivering a three-minute presentation in English. The session concluded with a ten-minute discussion and question-and-answer segment aimed at evaluating critical thinking, clarity of expression, and confidence in spontaneous communication.

The evaluation process was conducted by a panel of judges consisting of experienced academics and practitioners, namely Dr. Desy Hariyati, Dr. Maria R.U.D. Tambunan, Novita Ikasari, Janiscus Pieter Tanesab, and Nidaan Khafian. The panel was expected to provide comprehensive assessments of the finalists’ intellectual capacity, leadership character, and potential future contributions.

A total of eight outstanding FIA UI students advanced as finalists in this year’s competition: Shyalima Regita Pramesti, Sello Naufal Anugrah, Leida Nisrina, Atara Callista Giselly, Tiara Widyatriningrum, Caezar Putra Shidqie, Indira Zahidah, and Leivasya Angta Laudia. The finalists presented diverse innovative ideas reflecting strong awareness of contemporary issues in public administration, policy, and governance.

Through the FIA UI Student Achievement Awards 2026, the faculty aims to select the best student representative who will advance to the university-level and national-level student achievement competitions. The program also serves as a developmental platform for students to strengthen their intellectual capacity, leadership skills, and global communication abilities as preparation for future professional and academic challenges.
