The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), held an Integrity Zone (Zona Integritas/ZI) Socialization within the faculty environment as an initial step to reinforce its commitment toward achieving the status of a Corruption-Free Area (Wilayah Bebas dari Korupsi/WBK) and a Clean and Serving Bureaucracy Area (Wilayah Birokrasi Bersih dan Melayani/WBBM). The session was delivered by Dr. Umanto, M.Si., CFP, CRP, CertDA, Head of the Dean Office and Coordinator of the Change Management Lever within the FIA UI Integrity Zone Team 2026–2029.

In his presentation, Dr. Umanto emphasized that the establishment of the Integrity Zone at FIA UI carries two complementary main objectives. First, it serves as an effort to instill integrity values aligned with FIA KITA’s core principles—Commitment, Integrity, Transformative, and Trustworthiness—which form the foundation of the working culture of the FIA UI academic community. Through this socialization, all lecturers, administrative staff, and stakeholders are expected not only to understand the concept of the Integrity Zone but also to internalize these values in their daily duties.

He stated that the development of the Integrity Zone also represents FIA UI’s tangible commitment to improving the quality of public services for students, the wider community, and external partners. Therefore, the development of the Integrity Zone has been structured into six main drivers managed by a dedicated team.

The first driver is Change Management, which focuses on strengthening commitment, transforming mindsets, and cultivating a culture of integrity across all work units. The second driver is Governance Arrangement, aimed at simplifying business processes, enhancing procedural certainty, and promoting the use of information technology in service delivery.

The third driver is the Restructuring of the Human Resource Management System, which emphasizes performance-based, merit-based, and professional human resource management. The fourth driver is Strengthening Accountability, highlighting the importance of measurable performance planning, transparent reporting, and clear accountability for every program within FIA UI.

The fifth driver is Strengthening Supervision, designed to minimize potential irregularities through improved internal control systems, the involvement of public complaint mechanisms, and easily accessible reporting channels. The sixth driver is Improving the Quality of Public Services, which focuses on providing faster, more transparent, and more responsive services to meet the needs of service users within FIA UI.

During the session, Dr. Umanto also introduced the composition of the FIA UI Integrity Zone Team for 2026–2029, chaired by Prof. Dr. Dra. Retno Kusumastuti Hardjono, M.Si., with the support of vice chairs and coordinators for each driver area. The team is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring Integrity Zone development programs to ensure they are measurable and sustainable within FIA UI.

With the strengthened team structure and collective commitment, it is hoped that FIA UI will achieve the WBK and WBBM designations in the future, while also becoming a model of anti-corruption culture and excellent public service within higher education institutions.
