Bogor, 9 December 2025 – The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), together with Aksesmu, held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) attended by assisted warung traders from the City and Regency of Bogor.
This forum was organized to explore traders’ understanding of the use of technology in their daily business activities, particularly related to the use of wholesale purchasing applications and features that support warung operations.
In his remarks, Aksesmu Managing Director Viendra Primadia emphasized the importance of this activity for the development of Aksesmu’s business and services.
“All input from traders is very meaningful to us. Aksesmu grows together with warungs, so service development must always align with what they experience and need. Collaboration with FIA UI also helps us see the dynamics of small businesses more comprehensively,” he stated.
Appreciation was also conveyed by FIA UI lecturer and researcher Dr. Muhammad Ramditya, BBA., M.Sc.
“This FGD provides many insights into how warung traders adapt to technology, digital services, as well as price and product dynamics. These findings are beneficial not only for Aksesmu, but also for academic research in understanding the micro-enterprise ecosystem in Indonesia,” he explained.
Before the discussion began, Mujianto Nabiel, Commercial GM of Aksesmu as well as the initiator of the activity, provided direction regarding the FGD mechanism to facilitators and all participants. He emphasized that similar activities would continue to be held regularly.
“FGDs like this will become a regular agenda for us. Traders are the parties who directly experience field dynamics, so their insights are very important to ensure that Aksesmu’s products, prices, promotions, and services remain relevant to real needs,” he said.
The discussion took place openly, allowing traders to share their experiences related to business needs and challenges they face. Participants expressed their views on the types of services needed, prices and promotions that support sales, application features that facilitate the purchasing process, as well as opportunities for implementing non-cash transactions in their business environment.
This activity also served as a means to strengthen relationships among Aksesmu’s assisted outlets in Bogor. Many traders were meeting each other for the first time even though their business locations were close, making this FGD an opportunity to exchange experiences, support one another, and expand business networks.
To increase enthusiasm, Aksesmu also provided door prizes in the form of shopping vouchers and cash.
One participant, Mrs. Yulia, owner of Toko Yulia in Ciawi, shared her impressions of participating in the activity.
“I’m very happy to be invited. We can talk about our warung needs and what we want from Aksesmu. It’s also fun to meet other traders; even though we’re close, we only got to know each other here. The event was held in a hotel too, it’s rare for us to come to a place like this. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fun,” she said.
After the FGD, participants received additional education on the use of the Aksesmu application, the benefits of non-cash transactions, and strengthening their understanding of available service facilities so that they could become more independent. It is hoped that the knowledge gained can be applied and shared with other traders.
Aksesmu hopes that this activity can become a sustainable step to improve service quality while strengthening warung empowerment in various regions.
