Depok, February 20, 2026 — The Public Speaking Club (PSC) of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), successfully held the PSC FIA UI 2026 Inauguration, presented through an inspiring and interactive ceremonial concept. Held at the Auditorium of Building M, FIA UI, the event marked the beginning of PSC’s annual activities while serving as a learning platform for students to develop their public communication skills.
Carrying the theme “Project Your Power: Finding Clarity and Positive Impact in Every Word,” the inauguration featured an inspiring talk show session with three speakers: Azmy Gassani, Thariq Almas, and Ahmad Aqil. During the discussion, the speakers highlighted the importance of self-confidence and self-acceptance, the courage to seize opportunities, and the commitment to continuously grow and learn from experience.
Through the diverse perspectives and experiences shared, participants were encouraged to understand that public speaking is not merely about communication techniques, but also about character building and continuous personal development.
The event continued with a workshop session in the form of a mini debate led by Thariq Almas. In this session, participants were trained to express their opinions confidently, construct logical arguments, and communicate more systematically in public settings. The atmosphere was lively and enthusiastic, reflecting strong engagement and active participation from attendees.
At the end of the session, Thariq Almas delivered a reflective message to participants, emphasizing that despite areas that still need improvement, one important achievement deserves recognition—the courage to begin. “Today, you have taken the courage to start,” he remarked. The message served as a meaningful closing, reinforcing that courage is the first step toward change and self-development.
Through the organization of this inauguration event, PSC FIA UI is expected to become a platform for students’ soft skills development, particularly in fostering impactful communication abilities, confidence, and meaningful contributions within academic environments and broader society.
