Hangzhou, 5 November 2025 – The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), held a strategic discussion with the School of Public Affairs, Zhejiang University, aimed at strengthening international academic and research collaboration. This meeting marked an important step in expanding global networks and deepening cooperation in the fields of public administration and policy.

The delegation from Zhejiang University was led by Prof. Jerry Zhao, Dean of the School of Public Affairs, accompanied by Gong Binlei (Vice Dean), Wei Shei (Professor, Department of Political Science), Min Shao (Vice Director of the Postgraduate Program), and Lu Lin (Coordinator for Academic and Global Partnership).

Meanwhile, the FIA UI delegation was represented by Prof. Dr. Retno Kusumastuti, M.Si. (Dean of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences UI), Prof. Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Si. (Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration), Dr. Eko Sakapurnama, M.Si. (Head of the Graduate Program), and Dr. Krisna Puji Rahmayanti, M.P.A. (Coordinator for Academic and International Cooperation).

The meeting resulted in several follow-up plans focused on the development of academic cooperation, including the organization of a joint international conference to be held in Depok and Bandung on 25–28 November 2025 as an academic collaboration between both parties. This activity is also planned to involve Deakin University, Lancaster Indonesia University, and the Victorian Government Trade and Investment Australia, and to feature academics from Renmin University, Jianxi University, Zhejiang University, and a number of higher education institutions in Indonesia.

In addition, both parties discussed opportunities to organize reciprocal summer programs, student exchanges, visiting scholars, and joint public lectures planned for 2026, as well as the possibility of collaboration in the implementation of external examiners for doctoral programs.

Through this meeting, FIA UI reaffirmed its commitment to continuously strengthening international collaborative networks and expanding the contribution of Universitas Indonesia to the development of competitive and globally impactful public administration scholarship.
