Depok, July 29, 2025 – The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), and the Depok City Government are exploring potential strategic collaborations aimed at improving the capacity of civil servants and strengthening governance in Depok City. The proposed partnership was discussed in a meeting held at the Main Meeting Room, Building M, FIA UI.
The meeting, led by FIA UI Dean Prof. Dr. Dra. Retno Kusumastuti Hardjono, M.Si., identified several potential areas of cooperation, including policy analyst training for the Depok Regional Development Planning Agency (Bappeda) and other regional government agencies. The training would focus on addressing Depok’s key issues and generating relevant policy recommendations.
“FIA UI welcomes the initiative for a strategic partnership with the Depok City Government and hopes this collaboration can be realized soon to bring mutual benefits for both Depok and FIA,” said Prof. Retno.
The proposed partnership includes policy analysis training, community service programs with PEKKA Depok, meetings with the Association of Indonesian Municipalities (APEKSI), collaboration in the 25th Regional Autonomy Summit, leadership training for echelon 2 officials, and discussions on marketing in public service. Additionally, non-academic cooperation was discussed regarding operational dredging needs at Danau Mahoni.
The meeting with Depok Bappeda proceeded interactively, and as the next step, a draft Cooperation Agreement (PKS) will be prepared.
