Hong Kong, 7 November 2025 – The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), visited the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration, Hong Kong Metropolitan University (HKMU), to explore opportunities for academic collaboration and the development of international programs between the two institutions.

The delegation from Hong Kong Metropolitan University was led by Prof. Alan Au, Vice President (Strategic Initiatives) and Acting Dean of the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Administration. Also in attendance were Prof. Matthew Lee (Associate Dean, Learning and Teaching), Dr. Bryan Chiu (Associate Professor and Head of Management and Strategy), Dr. Karthika Suja (Senior Lecturer and Global Immersion Programme Coordinator), Dr. Danny Ng (Senior Lecturer and Admission Coordinator), and Carol Lee (Senior Manager, Office of Strategic Initiatives).

Meanwhile, the FIA UI delegation consisted of Prof. Dr. Retno Kusumastuti, M.Si. (Dean), Prof. Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Si. (Vice Dean for Resources, Ventures, and General Administration), and Dr. Krisna Puji Rahmayanti, M.P.A. (Coordinator for Academic and International Cooperation).

The meeting resulted in several agreements to strengthen academic collaboration between the two universities. FIA UI and HKMU plan to initiate a reciprocal summer program, in which each institution will host study tour activities for students during the summer period. In addition, both parties agreed to propose a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) as a foundation for further cooperation at the university level.

The discussion also covered opportunities for implementing student exchange programs and exploring nominations for an adjunct professor program in 2026. Both institutions also expressed their commitment to further discuss the proposal for a joint degree 1+1 program between the Master of Administrative Science (MIA) program at FIA UI and the Master of Business Administration program at HKMU.

Through this meeting, FIA UI reaffirmed its commitment to continuously expanding international collaboration and strengthening the role of Universitas Indonesia in the global development of administrative science and business.
