Shenzhen, China, March 27, 2026 \u2014 The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), reaffirmed its strategic role in strengthening investment connectivity between Indonesia and China through its active participation in the China\u2013Indonesia Investment Promotion and Legal Cooperation Exchange Conference<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Universitas Indonesia delegation was led by the Rector, Prof. Dr. Ir. Heri Hermansyah<\/strong>, along with university and faculty leaders, including a full delegation from FIA UI led by the Dean, Prof. Dr. Dra. Retno Kusumastuti, M.Si.<\/strong><\/p>\n

During the forum, the Dean of FIA UI delivered keynote remarks titled \u201cBuilding the Right Platform for Chinese Investment in Indonesia,\u201d<\/em> emphasizing the importance of establishing strong institutional bridges to support more integrated and sustainable investment.<\/p>\n

In her remarks, the Dean highlighted that Indonesia does not only require an increase in the volume of investment, but also investment that is institutionally well-connected. She noted that the success of investment in Indonesia is determined not solely by capital, but also by a comprehensive understanding of public policy, institutional mechanisms, and decision-making processes.<\/p>\n

As a concrete contribution, FIA UI proposed three strategic initiatives. First, establishing collaboration channels between Chinese companies and policy research as well as government coordination in Indonesia. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between business opportunities and regulatory understanding.<\/p>\n

Second, FIA UI will develop an Executive Development Program (EDP)<\/strong> designed for investors, executives, and business leaders to deepen their understanding of Indonesia\u2019s context, including public policy, regulatory navigation, corporate governance, and public\u2013private coordination.<\/p>\n

Third, FIA UI is opening opportunities for international collaboration with global institutions, including universities in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, to develop short-term executive training programs focused on enhancing institutional readiness for foreign investors.<\/p>\n

In addition, FIA UI emphasized the importance of building a trusted community among business actors investing in Indonesia. This is considered crucial, as successful investment depends not only on transactions but also on relationships, trust, and coordination among stakeholders.<\/p>\n

The forum also addressed various strategic issues, including Indonesia\u2019s investment climate, legal cooperation, institutional coordination, and opportunities for collaboration in infrastructure, green energy, manufacturing, and the digital economy sectors.<\/p>\n

FIA UI\u2019s participation in this forum reinforces its commitment to promoting adaptive and collaborative public policy governance at the global level. Through an administrative science-based approach, FIA UI seeks to bridge the interests of the business sector and government, while ensuring that investments in Indonesia are not only economically productive but also aligned with good governance principles.<\/p>\n

This active engagement also complements Universitas Indonesia\u2019s broader series of strategic visits in Shenzhen, including the MoU signing with Shenzhen University of Advanced Technology, exploratory collaboration with Shenzhen University, and benchmarking on sustainable development initiatives.<\/p>\n

Through these initiatives, Universitas Indonesia, particularly FIA UI, continues to strengthen its role as a strategic partner in building an inclusive, coordinated, and sustainable global investment ecosystem.<\/p>\n
