Bogor, 28 October 2025<\/strong> \u2013 The Community Service Team of the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), in collaboration with PPM School of Management, held the closing of a community service program on Tuesday (28\/10). The program focused on diversifying processed cassava products into oven-baked cassava chips with various flavor variants. This activity serves as concrete evidence of Universitas Indonesia\u2019s contribution to increasing production capacity as well as improving the welfare of women\u2019s business groups in Cibodas Village, Cisentul Hamlet, Rumpin Subdistrict, Bogor Regency, West Java.<\/p>\n The activity was attended by the Head of the Community Service Team, Dr. Vishnu Juwono, S.E., M.I.A., a representative from PPM School of Management, Martdian Ratna Sari, S.E., M.Sc., members of the community service team, and women from the Cisentul business group. The event took place at the production house of the Cisentul business group in Rumpin, Bogor, West Java.<\/p>\n \u201cUniversitas Indonesia, in collaboration with PPM School of Management, provides guidance to housewives who are the wives of cassava farmers in Cisentul Hamlet, Cibodas Village, Rumpin, Bogor. This program focuses on business or entrepreneurial development for women in this village. The business is based on the abundant cassava potential in the area, so we focus on developing its derivative products,\u201d explained Martdian Ratna.<\/p>\n Meanwhile, the Head of the Community Service Team, Dr. Vishnu Juwono, emphasized that this activity aims to increase the production capacity of the Cisentul women\u2019s business group so that it can add to family income. One of the tangible outcomes of this program is a processed cassava product called \u201cAKONG\u201d (Akar Singkong).<\/p>\n \u201cAKONG is a cassava chip product resulting from the community service program between Universitas Indonesia and PPM School of Management. We hope this product will be successful in the market, so that the women in Cibodas Village who produce these delicious chips can increase their income to support a better and more prosperous family life,\u201d said Dr. Vishnu.<\/p>\n In line with this, a representative of the Cisentul women\u2019s business group, Ranti, stated that the technological assistance provided has helped increase the group\u2019s production capacity.<\/p>\n Similarly, Ranti conveyed that the technology assistance has helped improve family economic conditions. Through this technology, the business group is now able to produce around 25 kilograms of cassava chips per production cycle. Over the past two months, they have produced more than 100 kilograms of cassava chips in various flavor variants, such as original, sweet spicy, roasted corn, and balado. This technology also simplifies the production process and has the potential to be further enhanced as the women\u2019s operational skills continue to improve. In addition, the Cisentul women\u2019s business group has carried out both offline and online promotion and marketing to the Bogor and Jakarta areas.<\/p>\n \u201cOur hope is that this business will continue to progress and grow, so that the women can help support the family economy,\u201d Ranti concluded.<\/p>\n
