Depok, August 1, 2024 – The Indonesian Employers Association (APINDO), through its business unit, the APINDO Training Center (ATC), has officially partnered with the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) to launch the Collaboration and Innovation Certification Program. This initiative aims to enhance the latest knowledge and skills in human resource management, including regulations and industry trends, while increasing the credibility of HR practitioners and professionals amid the rapidly evolving global landscape.
The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) between APINDO and FIA UI on Monday, July 29, 2024, at the APINDO Headquarters in Central Jakarta.
Shinta W. Kamdani, Chairperson of APINDO, emphasized that the launch of this program in partnership with educational institutions reflects APINDO’s belief that Human Resources and Industrial Relations (HR-IR) are dynamic and must align with the ever-evolving business environment.
“HR certification is a strategic necessity for companies to ensure their HR professionals enhance their professionalism and competency. This initiative addresses the current and future needs of many businesses—to improve workforce productivity and foster innovation—so that companies can sustainably grow amid increasing competition,” said Shinta.
Dr. Fibria Indriati, M.Si, Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs at FIA UI, who represented the faculty in signing the agreement, highlighted FIA UI’s commitment to preparing skilled professionals and supporting infrastructure through both formal education (bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs) and non-formal education via the Executive Development Program under LPPIA FIA UI.
“We hope this MoU will soon be implemented, enabling companies to benefit from highly competent human resources who can navigate workplace dynamics, contribute positively to strategic corporate goals, and demonstrate collaborative leadership,” said Dr. Fibria.
The Collaboration and Innovation Certification Program managed by the APINDO Training Center aims to equip HR professionals with advanced skills to navigate the complexities of modern human resource management. This program is designed to help mitigate potential legal issues, optimize HR practices, and improve operational efficiency, ultimately benefiting corporate performance,” Shinta added.
For reference, this collaboration also involves other educational institutions, including the Indonesian Institute for Industrial Relations Certification (LSP HII), the Human Resource Management Certification Institute (LSP MSDM), and the Faculty of Law, Universitas Indonesia – Indonesian Institute for Corporate Directorship (IICD).
