Depok, September 21, 2024 – The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI) hosted a meeting between the Accreditation Council & Executive Board of LAMSPAK (Independent Accreditation Institute for Social, Political, Administrative, and Communication Sciences) and its founding academic and professional associations (also members) on Saturday, September 21, 2024. The event took place in the Smart Class Room, 3rd Floor, Building M, FIA UI, Depok.

The event began at 9:00 AM WIB with an opening speech from the Vice Dean for Education, Research, and Student Affairs of FIA UI. In her address, Dr. Fibria Indriati, M.Si., expressed her gratitude for the successful organization of the meeting and conveyed full support for the upcoming operations of LAMSPAK.

“FIA UI warmly welcomes the establishment of LAMSPAK, and we hope this institution will begin operations soon. We believe this reflects the hopes and aspirations of all study programs under LAMSPAK’s scope. FIA UI is ready to fully support all agendas and plans discussed in this meeting,” said Dr. Fibria.

The main agenda of the meeting included reports on LAMSPAK’s operational readiness, preparation of the association to provide the best services to its members, and aligning perceptions regarding LAMSPAK’s accreditation standards and instruments.

This event is an essential milestone in ensuring the quality assurance and enhancement of education in the fields of social, political, administrative, and communication sciences. Accreditation by LAM aims to improve educational standards and offer greater benefits to its members, including educational institutions, students, and industries that will employ graduates.

“LAMSPAK is a non-profit organization with a mission, as mandated by the Ministry, to conduct independent quality assurance through accreditation,” explained Prof. Dr. Agus Pramusinto, MDA, Chair of the LAMSPAK Accreditation Council. “LAMSPAK has received appreciation from the Ministry as it is the only LAM proposed by 21 academic and professional associations, the largest and most unified submission,” added Dr. M. R. Khairul Muluk, M.Si., Chair of the LAMSPAK Executive Board.

“As the LAM with the most supporting associations, LAMSPAK is committed to demonstrating the strength of various academic and professional associations, both substantively (through targeted accreditation instruments) and in organizational governance,” said Dra. Novita Ikasari, M.Comm., Ph.D., Chair of the Indonesian Business Administration Science Association (AIABI) and Head of the Department of Business Administration at FIA UI.

The meeting concluded with an agreement to hold regular LAMSPAK meetings to share information. This commitment is crucial to ensuring the collective dedication to supporting LAMSPAK’s vision and mission of improving the quality of education in social, political, administrative, and communication sciences, producing high-quality graduates capable of competing globally.
