Jakarta, April 15, 2025 – The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), conducted an academic visit to the Tax Court from 08.00 to 14.00 WIB, held in the Meeting Room on the 6th floor of Building F.
The visit aimed to provide students with direct insight into the roles, duties, and courtroom dynamics within the Tax Court. The Tax Court welcomed the visit warmly.
Mr. Roy Abdurrachman Pasha, Head of the Information and Publication Subdivision, opened the event by expressing appreciation for the enthusiasm shown by FIA UI students in participating in the activity.
During the visit, students received materials and engaged in an interactive discussion on the introduction to the Tax Court and courtroom procedures, guided by Ms. Gabriela Grace, Assistant Substitute Clerk.
The presentation covered the organizational structure, recent developments in dispute resolution, and various modernization efforts undertaken by the Tax Court. Students also had the opportunity to engage directly with the speaker in a lively and enthusiastic discussion.
In addition to the presentation and discussion, students observed a live court session. This experience gave them a concrete understanding of formal procedures, courtroom etiquette, and the roles of the parties involved in the legal process.
As part of the educational activities, students also took part in a moot court designed to simulate real courtroom conditions.
In the simulation, students assumed various roles such as Chief Judge, Associate Judges, Substitute Clerk, Appellant, and Respondent. The objective of this activity was not only to help students understand legal theory but also to develop communication skills, case analysis abilities, and logical argumentation within a courtroom context.
The official visit concluded with words of appreciation from the Tax Court for the active participation of FIA UI students, along with hopes that the experience would serve as a valuable foundation for their academic and professional journeys in the future.
