The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI) ‘s commitment to implementing the tri dharma of higher education continues. In early 2023, FIA UI initiated a collaboration with the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia. This collaboration has the scope to organize higher education administration training for stakeholders (management) in tertiary institutions.
“The scientific field of administration, our expertise, is of added value for working with the Ministry of Education and Culture Center to organize higher education administration training. Our educators (lecturers) have theoretical and practical competence in managing organizations, especially at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences,” said Dr. Umanto as FIA UI Leadership Secretary.
Head of the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, Dr. Ir. Mustangimah, M.Si said that the Education and Training Center of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology was tasked with organizing training for State Civil Apparatuses within the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek). He stated that initiating collaboration with FIA UI was an excellent support for their duties.
“Following the direction of the Minister, it is essential to carry out training to improve the competence of Human Resources in managing higher education institutions. With various program innovations, of course, every stakeholder in higher education requires skills in good and agile management.”
On this occasion, the two parties, namely FIA UI and the Center for Education and Training of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology, explained to each other the needs and potential for cooperation in organizing the training. FIA UI is determined to cooperate with experts in Administrative Sciences under the training theme so that this collaboration will mutually benefit both parties.
“We hope to maximize the potential of this collaboration to achieve the goal of increasing the managerial competence of managers of educational institutions, which includes planning, managing and supervising and developing higher education institutions to be more innovative and competitive,” said Dr. Umanto, M.Si., CFP
For information, the discussion on initiating this collaboration occurred on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 afternoon in the Studentpreneur Room, Prof. Building. Dr. Mr. Prajudi Atmosudirjo (Building M) Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia, attended by Amurwani Dwi Lestariningsih, S.Sos., M.Hum. (Head of the Ministry of Education and Culture Center) and the Ministry of Education and Culture team. Meanwhile, from the FIA UI, Prof. Dr. Martani Huseini; Dr. Umanto, M.Si., CFP; Dr. Fibria Indriati, M.Sc.; Dr. Milla Sepliana Setyowati, M.Ak., CA .; and Tyas Wida Handoko, S.I.A., MPA.
