In entering the era of globalization, where distance is not an obstacle, collaboration is the key for the world of education to increase the internationalization of the tri-dharma function of higher education.
In response to this, the visiting scholar program from the National College of Public Administration and Governance University of the Philippines (UP NCPAG) provided space at FIA UI for possible collaborations such as Joint Teaching in intercultural courses, government and institutions, as well as comparative public administration between Indonesia and other countries. The Philippines.
In addition, there is also collaboration in the field of publication/research, such as behavioural public administration (BPA), happiness and well-being, and local leadership issues. Not only that, various projects such as joint book-making, student exchanges, and scholarships for UP NCPAG alums to study at FIA UI were also discussed.
Other collaboration opportunities that can be explored between FIA UI and UP NCPAG include the implementation of colloquiums and publication partnerships, collaboration and involvement in the AUA-UI Leader Camp, and external examiners for masters and doctoral program seminars.
Deputy Dean for Education, Research and Student Affairs FIA UI Dr. Fibria Indriati revealed that the presence of the man who is often called Dr. Reggie as an academic representative of UP NCPAG opens opportunities for further collaboration with the Philippines. “Of course, we are looking forward to all the collaboration opportunities we have discussed,” he said.
Head of International Office FIA UI Dr. Phil. Reza Fathurrahman, MPP, revealed that Dr. Reggie is an academic with in-depth knowledge of public administration, particularly in the areas of human resource management in the public sector, management in the public sector, public sector leadership, e-government, international and local governance, and democracy.
The Faculty of Administrative Sciences, University of Indonesia (FIA UI) brought in academics from the National College of Public Administration and Governance University of the Philippines (UP NCPAG) Dr. Reginald G. Ugaddan through a visiting scholar program to establish further collaboration between FIA UI and UP NCPAG from 28 November to 2 December 2022.
Dr. Reginald’s visit to FIA UI is accompanied by various collaborative activities such as the FIA UI & UP NCPAG Joint Session, exploring research collaborations, brown bag discussions, and sharing sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate program students.
