FIA UI Together with KemenPAN-RB Collaborate to Strenghten the Bureaucratic Reform

DEPOK (20/2) – The Faculty of Adminstrative Science Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI) initiated the collaboration between Universitas Indonesia and the Ministry of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenPAN-RB) in strengthening public sector reform and preparing high quality human resources through signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on Tuesday (21/2/18)

The Dean of FIA UI Prof. Dr. Eko Prasojo emphasised that the collaboration is a form of commitment and contribution of FIA UI to Indonesia to face the fourth industrial revolution phenomenon.

“For this reason, one of the main objectives of the double master degree program in the field of e- governance is to provide expertise and skill to state officials or staff from non- profit organizations to be able to manage transformative information communication technology initiates, “ he said when giving the Welcoming Speech at the Soft Launching event of the Double Degree Program in E- Governance in collaboration with the School of Government Victoria University of Wellington in the Juwono Suudarsono Auditorium FISIP UI.

Prof. Eko, who is also the Leader of the Independent National Beaurocracy Reformation Team, also assured that FIA UI is a strategic Partner for the KemenPAN-RB to provide various supports for the nation.

“With the manifestation of this formal collaboration, I believe that UI is in a strategic position through various research activities, training or other academic activity to give support to the KemenPAN-RB in doing its job which is full of challenges in pushing bureaucratic reform in Indonesia,” he explained.

After the signing of the MoU, an International Seminar is held with the theme “Transforming Digital Governance in Indonesia” by inviting the Deputy for Institutional and Governance of KemenPan-RB Rini Widyantini, MPM., the Director General of Immigration Dr. Ronny F. Sompie, M.H., the Dean of Victoria Business School, Prof. Ian O. Williamson and the delegate from the School of Government Dr. Karl Lofgren.

It is known that among the attendees were: the Minister of PAN-RB, H.Asman Abnur S.E./ M.Si., with the Rector of Universitas Indonesia, Prof. Dr. Ir. Muhammad Nis, M.Met., to sign the MoU and the Minister of PAN-RB from 2011-2014, Azwar Abubakar. (DS)
