At this year’s Universitas Indonesia Integrity Zone Award 2024, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences once again received an award as a work unit under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology eligible for the national-level Integrity Zone assessment. Along with the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Administrative Sciences will proceed with the Integrity Zone assessment to achieve the national-level Corruption-Free Zone (WBK) title by the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform (KemenpanRB). This award is both an honor and a motivation for the Faculty of Administrative Sciences to continue improving organizational governance performance, competing not only at the university level but also at the national level.

The Universitas Indonesia Integrity Zone Award 2024 carries the theme “The Role of Artificial Intelligence in University Transformation.” Several experts in this field were invited to deliver presentations, including Prof. Dr. Eng. Wisnu Jatmiko, S.T., M.Kom., a Professor and Head of the AI Research Cluster at FASILKOM UI, Dr. Yudhistira Nugraha, S.T., MCIT adv., Head of the Center for Data and Information Technology (PUSDATIN) at the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, Dr. Muhammad Yopan, Government Account Lead at Amazon Web Services, and Dr. Johan Jang, Customer Success Manager Southeast Asia at Elsevier. During the event, the speakers discussed the risks and potentials of utilizing Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance the university’s performance in carrying out the Tridharma of Higher Education.

“There is a new paradigm in responding to the AI or Generative AI era. We must wisely accompany AI or Generative AI. We agree to embrace AI, but its drawbacks must also be balanced by ethical considerations in using AI. This is something we must approach wisely, but we should not prohibit it. If we use it wisely, we will elevate our education, research, and community service, allowing us to achieve UI’s vision and mission,” said Prof. Dr. Eng. Wisnu Jatmiko, S.T., M.Kom., in his explanation.
