Depok, May 15, 2024 – The Business Administration Program at the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, Universitas Indonesia (FIA UI), held the Alley Market 2024 event with the theme “Make it Happen: Ignite Your Ideas.” The event took place from May 13 to May 17, 2024, at the FIA UI parking lot and hallway in Depok, with the primary goal of facilitating the entrepreneurial development of Business Administration students from the 2021 cohort.
Alley Market 2024 presented a series of inspiring activities, offering students the opportunity to apply the entrepreneurial competencies they have learned throughout the Even Semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Through the Creativity in Thinking and Entrepreneurship course, students were given the chance to design and develop innovative and sustainable business ideas.
One of the main highlights of Alley Market 2024 was the Main Event, a Product Exhibition where students showcased the business products they had developed over six months to the public. This not only allowed them to promote their products but also helped them expand their business networks and entrepreneurial skills, explained Dra. Novita Ikasari, M.Comm, Ph.D, one of the lecturers responsible for the event.
Afrael Zaldy, the Event Chair, stated that Alley Market 2024 was more than just a product exhibition. It also served as a platform for students to learn about market competition in the business world, gain knowledge about risk management, and improve their entrepreneurial abilities. He added that the event was expected to sharpen the entrepreneurial skills of the Business Administration students from the 2021 cohort, encourage them to take practical steps in building their businesses, and boost their confidence in social settings.
Alley Market 2024 aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial skills and competencies of Business Administration students from the 2021 cohort who are enrolled in the Creativity in Thinking and Entrepreneurship course, provide a platform for them to apply their business plans and experience real market competition, train them in promoting and selling their business products, and serve as an assessment indicator for their Entrepreneurship course completion.
